Does not work, does not attempt to work. Waste of time and money.
And you don’t need it anyway, cntrl-clk on the AVCHD file to open the package contents, then do the same for other packages there in. Look for .mts files, when you find them, open them with Quicktime play and export to make a .mov file. Then you can use mgetstream clip or handbrake to covert to other formates. Mpegstreamclip can also concatenate the files into a single movie.
This app does absolutrly nothing. I tried many times to get it to work. This is a SCAM. When I contacted SeaSky Software they essentailly said there was nothing they could do and would not refund my money. They are just collecting peoples' money knowing their app does not work most of the time if at all.
Used with Canon Vixia HF M500, as soon as it sees the file, it just states "Failed." without so much as a progress bar. Complete waste of money. EDIT: Additional info: I have checked the contents of the AVCHD files and made sure it was using the MTS file format that this converter states it supports.
I had an AVCHD file on my Android that plays OK in Quicktime but I couldn't impot it into iMovie for editing. I thought from the title this app would convert the AVCHD file but it gave me an error "failed." I think it only converts the .mts clips when imported from the SD card.
