Been using this app since it came out and it hasn’t changed at all over time. This app has been rock solid and reliable for many years without any updates that change the user experience (don’t fix what’s not broken approach). I’ve tried other apps that do the same thing but always keep coming back to this one. I literally keep a Windows machine running because this is not on Android (or at least wasn’t when I tried looking). It connects very quickly and the mouse cursor responds just the way you’d expect. Multitouch two finger scrolling, two finger tap for right click. I use it to control a TV PC. Nowadays many smart TV’s don’t require a PC for watching YouTube and searching the internet but they are not as smooth as this. Like I mentioned earlier, this app has never changed since it’s inception and that’s a good thing. I seriously wanted to connect a Android to my TV but purchased a Windows machine so I can keep using this app. It’s a must have app if you’re using Windows on a TV. I have only 1 small complaint but it’s not a deal breaker. If you launch the app in portrait and turn your device to landscape, it doesn’t always change orientation correctly leaving the keyboard off screen and some unused space. There is a workaround however. If you’re intending on using landscape mode, then, just launch the app while you’re device is in landscape and it’ll work. Portrait will always work but landscape has issues if you’re switching back and forth. It’s really not a huge deal as I normally only use portrait anyway.
Downloaded while working at home because my mouse died. Works great for my local computer but doesn't seem to work when clicking on anything in a Remote Desktop client window. For me this was a deal breaker because of my desired use. I'd have rated it higher if I didn't have this problem or if I could have easily reported this bug from the app instead of writing a review or digging up a support email address.
Great idea, but it isn't working. I have the iReceiver installed on my PC, and my firewall set up to allow iReceiver access through it. Even after manually adding my PCs IP address I couldn't connect. Yes, both Mobile and PC were using the same wifi network. I considered giving this two stars rather than one, but the so-called support for this app was slim. If you cannot get this to work, do not expect any assistance for the help page. Onward.
The app works fine when its connection with the computer is stable, which was rare in my case. As it keeps disconnecting, I had to delete the app and try another app…
I really like the app. And it does what it says. Im using it to control my Windows Vista laptop. A couple of problems: I HAVE to start the app on my Mobile first and then on my laptop, or otherwise the Mobile app crashes on the 'looking for computer..' loading text. Needless to say, because of this the app can't auto-connect. Every time, i basically have to start the Mobile app, then the iReceiver on my computer, and then manually connect from the Mobile app. And secondly, if i change screens on my Mobile to something else that is not this app, when i go back it crashes again. And then i have to go through the process to reconnect again. If those things were fixed this would be an awesome app. Still this is the best 'Mobile-as-mouse' app on the market though. I especially like being able to drag and move things on windows --a feature that the other apps are lacking. Thanks developers and keep up the great work, looking forward to your next updates! Ps. Im running iOS 5.1.1
