Don’t listen to the idiots that complain about their WiFi and connecting. The Android app is simple clear and functions. No need for pretty colors for the app… on/off, Cold/Hot is all you need.. if you want to set away temps, you can, if you’re on your way home from work/play.. you can set your temps while away from your phone. You don’t need to be a techie to manually turn on/off.. it’s not like a NEST, but it’s a simple 1 time process, then it becomes easy to do. Even a caveman can do it, just not a Princess.. I say 4 out of 5 because the thermostat itself doesn’t illuminate and the thermostat itself can be hard at first to understand. But once you understand, it’s simple.. just not very user friendly
All of my thermostats are connected to Wi-Fi and I can see them on my HomeKit and my Honeywell app. This is the only app that can’t find the thermostats on the same Wi-Fi network. Worthless!
Not updating app. No longer works
I’ve had this thermostat for well over 5 years. Not quite sure but it’s been a long time. A few times it’s lost connectivity. But seems like overnight it would find connection again. Now if I can remember to change the batteries. I just love the ability to know what’s going on when I am away. I still love it after all these years.
I have used several smart thermostat apps (ex Emerson,ecobee, Honeywell) that are newer and prettier then the 3M CT50 that came with this app. But I ended up going back to this feature filled app. This app is very comprehensive and intuitive. And the best think that I love is the “Runtime per hour” features which keeps track of how many minutes it runs per hour. It also puts in a graph with bars in minutes. The apps stores this information for as long as you own the app so you can review all your info for years back. No other app has this feature.
