They really need to do better QA on the end users side. This app crashes from my all devices. It makes watching so irritating!
Utter sh*t
Pros: * Crackle has some solid content, originals you may not find elsewhere (Start Up, Snatch etc). * Free, with a big asterisk Cons: * More advertising than you will see on any streaming service, and by a wide margin. * App is clunky and antiquated. And it’s clumsiness results in even more advertising. Pausing for 10-15 minutes means you will be fed more advertising, even if you paused right after getting back from some ads. * the ‘continue watching’ section seems to show only partially watched films and tv episodes. The the next episode of a series being watched… like every other on demand streaming provider. * Customer support is non-existent. Recent experience (and likely the last time I will ever use Crackle): - started a show - immediately fed 5 ads - - few minutes of content - 5 more ads - maybe 5 minutes of content - 5 more ads - paused the content for 15 minutes, returned- hit play and, after a minute or two of content … you guessed it … 5 more ads Issues began or were exacerbated following takeover by Chicken Soup for the Soul (who seems to be anything but their name would suggest). They must not have any competent programming / marketing / support personnel or they would know they can’t survive by pummeling viewers with advertising to the point of no return. Eventually … you’ll have no viewers. And even if you fix it … those you lost may never know. My recommendation … watch something else anywhere else. If there is nowhere else to watch it … watch something else until the content you want to watch shows up somewhere else. I can’t imagine Crackle surviving as a viable option in its current condition.
Says it’s supposed to be compatible with chromecast but app doesn’t recognize my chromecast at all. And yes they are on the same wifi, et, etc. Netfliworks fine, Hulu, Amazon. All apps except Crackle.
