1. EarTester can also be used in conjunction with EarMan to simply gauge the progress that is being made or maybe just to evaluate your skill level in general.

2. It tests your ear training skills at a proficiency level achieved when completing the EarMan curriculum.

3. Even after having completed the EarMan curriculum it is a good idea to challenge yourself from time to time to see whether it is advisable to have another go at it.

4. EarTester uses the same high quality samples that are used in EarMan and also displays intervals in music notation.

5. EarTester is a free companion application to EarMan.

6. If you do a quick session on EarTester and find yourself anywhere near the 80% region, it is high time to get back to practicing.

7. EarMan considers 80% as a passing grade, but you might want to aim higher.

9. Intervals are automatically replayed when a wrong guess is made and are sounded together with a maximum range of 6 octaves.

EarTester Reviews

An untalented app.

This app can only do very difficult intervals separated by multiple octaves. There are no levels or options. The app has very limited capabilities. In order to refresh the ear test, one must exit the app and renter it.

Good try

It was a good try using intervals larger than an octave but they need to make sure you can actually hear both notes

Excellent Challenge for a free app!

Great app not for the faint of heart or ear. Difficult, but that's a good thing. Very challenging for a free app.
