bite sized news reports and information is so easy to consume, the games are addicting, and visually appealing! new favorite app! my only critique is that when you reopen the app after closing out of the tab, it takes a few seconds to load back up. otherwise its great!

I really enjoy this app’s simplicity and functionality. You can easily focus on topics that interest you and inform yourself about them. They seem to propose relatively unbiased views (if not skewed left). However… 1. They don’t always use the highest quality sources as the basis for what they write. I don’t think citing a tiktok can be considered “news” most of the time, unless it’s a very unique situation. 2. Contrary to CF’s advertising, there are still paywalls. When you click to read articles behind the blurbs it functions the same as trying to view them on a browser. You still have to pay to read subscription-based news outlets. 3. The app is still in it’s youth, and pretty glitchy. The games are completely broken and crash my app whenever i click on them. 4. As a Gen Z person, I am not a huge fan of their slang usage when writing the captions and summaries. To some extent it’s fun, i get that, but to me personally it makes the app seem jokey. I’d love if they could pare back on that and just have simple summaries without using “totes” or an exclamation point every five seconds. All this said though, CF has great potential and I look forward to seeing the conferatu team develop it more in the future.
