Seriously it is legacy of the duelist done right duel links but there not afraid of ash insanely good cards. If you looking a competitive game this is for you.
I literally can’t not see the effect of any of the cards and it’s no fun and it’s so annoying cause their is cards I have not seen before
The fact that you can battle in battle of friends and have tournaments and do all the fun stuff that you want to do in this game is really great
Cons of the game Game is honestly trash and I hate saying that. I have fun playing with friends but this meta or game in general is all about negating everything. Used to be about two people playing back and forth and respecting each other’s time. Now it takes 10+ minutes for a turn one set up from your opponent to lock you out of playing anything really. Also you either play hand traps and meta hate or the meta itself. The game has thousands of cards but you will only play a handful because there will be cards you literally have to run or just lose. The game is stale and I’ve tried to like it. I’ve tried playing the top tier decks and they are so boring there’s no back and forth in the game at all anymore. I have a decent game maybe 1 out of every 20 duels. The rest it doesn’t matter who wins or loses because it’s over by turn one. Link summons are brain dead and enable to many long turns in my opinion. Also the game says ages 6+ and I doubt most 6 year olds are gonna be able to read a paragraph worth of text on each card. Used to be big creatures meant big damage and didn’t have to many effects. Now all the cards do way to much honestly. You start with 5 cards in hand and end your turn with 6 in hand 12 in the GY and all your tap zones and monster zones full. Worse part is if you thought your turn was over guess again because they just needed to refresh their timer on your turn so the can activate all the quick effects. I want to like the game and I would spend money but I can’t and I won’t with the game in this state. Half my duels come down to the coin flip honest to god. I’ve never played another card game where going first has such an advantage or disadvantage depending on your build of deck. 90% of people go first to set up negates for your turn so you don’t get to play pretty much at all. Most decks consist of multiple Maxx C, Ash Blossom so if you wanna have a chance these cards a must in any deck. That’s what makes the game boring though. I’d say a quarter of every deck looks the same. The have their meta staples and the rest is the strategy and after that draw. If you decide to play craft the staples and don’t waste your money. As soon as your winning the opponent concedes and you’ll end up doing the same after the 200th duel with some numeron, dragon maid, drytron, Eldlich, etc. honest to god I had more fun writing this review than my time on this game. Improvements in my opinion Make it where quest can be completed in casual. Add new modes permanently other than ranked. Above all else stop messing the game up please. Your game is boring and not interactive at all. The game is supposed to be made for kids and to be fun. It is neither of those in it’s current state. It is a cash grab off of nostalgia and current sweaty gamers that just care about winning that’s all. Pros of the game Music is nice. Pretty generous with gems at times.
