I thought it might be rigged. So I beat the game and went back to check.

Sure enough… this game is rigged to make you play ads. I spent hours… literal hours… (plane ride) And so when I landed I took a hint. And sure enough, things I tried all of a sudden worked. When I restarted the game, the very first clue you need didn’t work… so.. I clicked ‘hint’ watched the ad, and BAM! It worked. Screw that nonsense.
