Shinsekai Into the Depths for Android

It's hard to describe just how beautifully this game portrays the underwater world. The environments and flaura and fauna are all gorgeous. The slow, plodding way that the protagonist moves really makes it feel like you're underwater. The music is pretty, serene, and undeniably nautical. At no point during this game did I lose interest in exploring every nook and cranny. Technically, the game runs great for me. The graphics are good and I haven't found any bugs or glitches yet. Overall, perfect for anyone looking to sit back, relax, and immerse themself in another world. Edit: after beating the game (getting both endings), I'm a bit upset that there's no way to go from the final world back to any of the previous locations. I wanted to finish finding the collectibles but since it's not possible to return to the previous parts of the game, this isn't possible. Also would have been nice to find some more upgrade materials to make the final boss a bit easier. Kind of a bummer. Hence only 4/5 stars.

Soundtrack can get a bit repetitive when you're stuck (and you might be, at some point) but this little gem is a big must. Quirky and demands patience but ultimately rewarding. Best thing I've found on Google Arcade so far.

I bought this game thinking I could play on my Android but the screen size is like for a mobile game.

So good. So so good. This is a core Google Arcade game through and through, and one of its biggest assets. The game has so far provided me with over 10 hours of fun, and it easily enamors with it's pace and charm. It is chock full of atmosphere and character, and the story is intruiging with a quietly compelling protagonist. Thanks, Capcom and Team Shinkai!
