Tried downloading my 4 courses and this is what happened: 1. My fans turned on and freaked out 2. After the courses "downloaded" they were nowhere to be found on my Android, and I can't try re-downloading them because now it says "Delete course" instead. I thought this app was to allow the user to download the content THEY PURCHASED for convenient viewing without having to be connected to the internet. Is anyone able to reach out and help me download my content so I can start studying please?
I was forced to use this when Askvideo stopped supporting their own platform. This app is terrible. Window does not sized corretly like others state and it uses way to much resources. Turns my fans on the moment I open it. It’s just sad and very bad. Doesn’t help their buisness that the IOS won’t open for me at all. Wish I had never given andy money and would prefer a refund to trying to use this non updated or fixed resource. DON’T WAST YOUR TIME ON SOMETHING THAT CLEARLY HAS NOT HAD TIME SPENT TO FIX ISSUES. READ other reviews and you will go to a different company if you are resourceful.
While this app was open and the the intitial screen splash screen was showing but no videos were loaded, it caused all of the menus in other apps to be unusable. They were distributed all over the screen and unreadable. This happened while playing back a video in VLC and is completely repeatable. Work around is to quit the NE program completely when wanting to watch another video. Also, sometimes when the NE app is launched, the menus to log in, browse, etc. do not show up. Quiting the app and starting it up again usually fixes the issue, but still... seems pretty lame. I preferred the older NED player. Too bad I have already deleted the gigabytes of tutorials I had already downloaded. Dissappointing, especially since the content is excellent!
For a company that makes its money on videos, it is truly amazing that their video playback software would be so terrible. The intro video in the app slows my entire Android (2018 Android) to a crawl. I don't think this has been optimized for current Android configurations at all. The window is also sized incorrectly. I buy their videos so I can watch them offline (e.g. when I am on the road). How can this company be unaware that their software is to terrible? I like their video instructors though, especially Marc Doty and Bill Burgess.
Courses not downloading, which makes this useless.
