Very buggy app

I can’t get through setup as it tells me there is a “sync” occurring in iCloud. Drove myself crazy searching all corners of my Android and not seeing anything that would cause this to happen. All of my other apps work perfectly. I log out of iCloud and it works but unwilling to to that just so I can use their app.
