My primary interest was in accessing and viewing all the metadata in my images, but especially the Fujifilm makers notes and XMP. For viewing the data, this app is excellent. At first I thought the data was limited/incomplete, but then I realized you need to edit the Preferences/Tag Preferences. From there you can select any tags you want to view from a complete list. Then you can drag and sort your selected tags and even add insert headings so that the tags are organized in the way that is meaningful to you. You can also hide any tags that are blank, so you are not swimming in blank fields. I cannot comment on the apps ability to revise the metadata, but as a tool to meaningfully organize and view the metadata in your images, its well worth the money.
I've used the app to edit all sorts of metadata on images and it works great.
This is my go to EXIF data edit program, along with the A Better Finder programs. Installs as a Right Click/Open With options program.
I'm and SEO specialist and always looking for an easy way to modify our image's EXIF data. So far, MetaImage has been fast, clean, and easy to use. Nice job!
I have a lot of old film that I'm slowly scanning in. Adding metadata can be quite a chore, plus I really want to set certain attributes on the image files before importing them into my asset manager. I've only been using it for a day, but it is proving to be invaluable and well worth the cost. One extra special feature is the ability to sync the files' timestamps with the EXIF data, so as I scan images from 1985, I can have the actual files sort correctly in Finder and in my DAM. I have a few quibbles with some of the UI and there are some enhancements I'd like (such as auto-incrementing timestamps), but so far nothing that would justify subtracting a star.
