Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery for Android

I love Harry Potter—games and movies, so I thought, “why not try the game?” So I downloaded this game. My problem is, after I customized my character, the Hogwarts emblem shows and stays that way for hours at a time. The FIRST time I downloaded this game I thought it was a glitch. Then I downloaded the game again—and guess what?— the same thing happened. So I thought just wait a while so the creators can fix it. I downloaded it again after I can back from vacation and the same thing happened once more! I know other people can start the game but I just can’t. Idk if it’s not compatible with my phone but I need you guys to fix the game please, please, please. I’m sure your game is great and I just want to play it.

When I joined the game it was all cool. I love the story lines and everything but when I was going to broom flying I saw a owl and I had enough gems so I bought it but, when I bought it I was like cool but it never gave me the owl and now I only have 27 gems

Ok, I really enjoy this game thoroughly!! The graphics are superb, the story is insanely interesting and the mini games (especially dueling) are super fun!! The only thing about this game that I feel needs a bit if reconsideration is the fact that certain tasks (including the main story) require a wait time of 4 hours. The only way to get around this is saving gems, they'd be easier to save if they didn't go towards restoring energy in order to complete tasks. I would have an easier and more enjoyable experience if the energy refill was less of a wait time and that the quests wait time was significantly less. I would be content with an hour long wait or so, because the side quests keep me entertained throughout that wait time. That's another thing, it would greatly improve my experience as a player if there were more side quests that entertained me as I waited for the main story to continue. Anyway, I really enjoy this game and the reason I'm critical is just because I want to be able to spend more time playing this game!! I'm absolutely addicted and I love it so much!!

Huge harry potter fan here which made me really excited to find a game where you can immerse yourself in the world a little bit. I’m impressed with the commitment to the series through it’s aesthetics and and overall look and feel. You really do feel like you’re involved with Hogwarts a bit, which is really cool. That being said, the game itself is mediocre, at best. I like the story telling approach. I like having challenges and things to complete each day. But where the game (in my opinion) goes wrong is with how they handle the energy. You have to have energy to do anything. Any task or challenge must be done using energy - and not just a little bit of energy, we’re talking 50-60 bits of energy just to complete ONE task. Energy recharges every 4 minutes (meaning you get one energy every 4 minutes - one). The energy caps at 27, so you’re waiting well over an hour for your energy to fully recharge. So all in all you’re playing the game in what, 5 minute increments? Because as soon as you drain your energy it’s pointless to keep playing because there’s really nothing else you can do. You have to just wait and wait. I just want to play the game without having to put it down every few minutes and the way it’s currently set up does not allow you to do that. I get they need to make money so you can buy energy, but most people don’t want to do that nor can afford to do that. And even if you do buy it, you drain it so fast that it’s not worth it. I really wish they would take all of these reviews seriously and rethink the concept of the energy and change how vital it is to the progress of the game. Shorten the time for recharge or make it so that the tasks require less energy- just something that makes this game more enjoyable. I’m just getting really bored with it at this point which bums me out because it does have a ton of potential to be an awesome game.
