This is a great app to experiance IPTV on your Android…
If I have my monitor resolution set too low (1280 x 720 HiDPI), the app only seems to display the bottom-left quarter of the video. Bumping it up one “notch” fixes the problem. Still moderate inconvenience, but app is at least usable. Curiously, it does NOT offer a full screen option. Maximzing the app still displays the toolbar and playlist. The interface is solid (nothing cheap or tacky looking). Simple on screen display with a Favorites toggle and control to pause the feed (it DOES resume when unpaused). No way to “catch up” with the live feed or scrobbing like with a DVR. Playlist automatically sorts the streams by titles and I can’t see a way to resort. Search function prominently displayed above video is useful. Would be helpful to have either a manual resorting feature or one to leave the playlist unsorted to preserve the original order of the “channels”. I would like to have a star, asterisk, or some other indication on the main “Channels” view of what has been added to your favorites. Clipping, buffering, and cutting out is much more a function of the service provider. Maybe the app could be more agressive with adjusting the quality, but I don’t think moderating the quality to a lower resolution is possible on the client side. The app seems to be performing properly; there’s no memory leaks or noticable / unnecessary slow down of other computer functions when multitasking. Conclusion - The app is continuing to develop and is a lot more improved (even on my initial impression). Yes, there are a few things to clean up. Yes, you can use VLC if you just want to view a m3u playlist. Would I buy again? Yes. Would I recommend it at $2? Yes, that price is fair. It really should offer a full screen view. The favorites idea and resorting the streams would be nice. If it had the DVR and “jump 10 / 30 seconds,” I could see it being worth another $1, but I imagine that would be a legal grey area and technically unfeasable. Developer is off to a great start!
I can’t make it to work, any instruction available? The site IPTV Mediacenter Support is in Italian only, so no luck there. HELP
The new update removed the ability to add m3u list. you can paste links in search but channels will not load. essencually the add is useless. HELP!
