This is hands down the best daily devotional you can use digitally. I’ve tried all of the big name devotional apps and this has been the one that’s stuck. The layout is so clean and simple, and the daily messages are short enough to read over a cup of coffee yet still deep enough to offer serious spiritual value. Rarely a day passes that I don’t share part of the devotional with a friend or family member. That leads me to the only drawback I’ve found: the app does not make it easy to share content. I have to resort to copy/paste — and even that is very glitchy. I would love if First15 could update for this fix!
I’m this morning’s devotional it focused on living a life of passion, not only at church, during our devotional times but our daily walk. It has encouraged me to be intentional in my passion to be more Christ like.
First off, I really love the content of First 15, and use it almost everyday. The reason I gave it four stars is that it does not have some of the functions of the old version. I enjoyed reading the posts/comments of the other people in the community and praying for them. It was nice to feel like you are part of a community of believers worldwide. Some commenters went a bit long in their posts (daily), but you can limit the number characters to prevent that if you want. The only other function that I am missing is the ability to increase the text size. But I do really like the ability to reduce the background music while listening to the devotion!
I just found out about this app last week but am loving it so far. It has a clean, intuitive interface that makes it simple and easy to start each day with a powerful devotion. I am grateful for the way it helps me draw near to God each day. The only thing I don’t like is the narrator’s voice. It’s a weird, unnatural mix of both a male and female voice that draws attention away from the message and puts it on the messenger. The narrator is not being authentic and that distracts (and detracts) from the entire devotional experience. Please just speak in your regular God-given voice and stop trying to soften/feminize it for effect. You are merely a vessel through whom God will work. You don’t have to be anyone other than yourself for God to use you. I listen to male narrators all the time in the Abide app (which I also highly recommend as a great way to end your day). And I’ve never once needed any of them to change their voice to receive their content.
Something wrong with the audio. It won’t play at all.
