Hint stops working and you need to exit to the main menu and then back to play to get it to work again. The bonus chapter occurs in the middle of the game so it doesn't really feel like a bonus. It's nice and long; not intuitive. You collect a lot of things but none of them work on anything until you stumble on something random. I think Enigmatis spoiled me for everything else.
love the series and started with no 8 so maybe i'm biased. it's old and it shows. some of the HO scenes are hard to see. but i guess you can't blame them for that considering it IS old. they definitely get better as they go on.
The bonus chapter wouldn’t unlock after I finished the main game. I hope they will fix it. Otherwise it was good.
I've played quite a few of these games. This one was by far the longest, even with the bonus segment in the middle instead of the end. The story was interesting, the mini games and hidden object puzzles were fun and fit in well with the story line. The biggest problem, which seems to be a consistent issue with the AM games is that the hint button can suddenly quit working. I don't know if they're working on this or not. But in this case it wasn't an issue for me.
The formula for these games is pretty strait forward. You solve a big mistery while solvng hidden objects games and puzzel games along the way. This game took me about 3 days to complete at my usual pace instead of 1 or 2 days of playing so for me this was a lot of bang for the buck. Nice dark scenes for night playing and a lot less talking and acting just game playing.
